The Republic of Romania is country of Southeast Europe, at the Black Sea. It has borders with Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.

Bucharest is the capital city, but also cultural, political and economic center of Romania. It is located on the river Dimbovica in Wallachia. It was the capital of Wallachian rulers since the 17th century and the capital of the whole Republic of Romania is since 1861.

(Vlad III Drăculea, Vlad Țepeș 1431 - 1476) Without any doubt, the most famous Romanian of the Middle Ages is Vlad the Impaler. He was born in late 1431 in Sighisoara.
